Many people interpret the above as referring to a coming world leader many modern eschatology teachers are calling the Antichrist. To be straight forward and upfront in this post I want to let everyone know that I do not subscribe to that interpretation. After years of examining and re-examining these texts I have come to the persuasion that the adversary has attempted to high-jacked these verse to his own glory when they are in truth a testimony to the Lamb of God who alone worthy to receive glory and honor and power.
Revelation 4:11 – Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
Revelation 5:12 – Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
If this “He” above in Daniel 9:27 is indeed referencing Jesus Christ, then this part of the verse is certainly the most advantageous to understand. Therefore, I will begin with the following three questions.
What “covenant” was the Lord Jesus confirming?
How did He confirm it; by word, deed, or both?
If this seventieth week designated for “confirming the covenant” was divided by Jesus’ death which caused the previously Mosaic obligation of sacrifices and oblations to cease, then what about the remaining three and a half years? For from His baptism to His death, Jesus’ earthly ministry lasted only three and a half years?
Even if it is only a possibility that Jesus is this “He” in Daniel 9:27, then these are legitimate questions that need to be asked if we are honest in our search of the Truth. Plus, if Jesus is indeed this “He” then there will be biblical answers to all these questions that would require your prayerful consideration.
So let’s look at first question again, what is the “covenant” that Jesus was confirming? Answer, it is that promise of certainty of which righteous Job wrote the following. (more…)
Revelation 18:4 – And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, My people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. 5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
Christians are called to be a distinct people, who though living in the world are still separate from it, not succumbing to its various social norms and economic ambitions. Furthermore, Christians are supposed to be spiritually alive and discerning and thus withdrawn from the vain and dead “camp” of religiosity; be it antinomian or legalistic in nature. Still, even apart from all the other religious systems in the world, the Christian pendulum of faith will often be found ignoring the holy plumbline of God’s righteousness and swinging to the extremes of warring dogmas. On one side some are defiantly holding to an effortless believism of mere mental assent to justification, while the other extreme demands a strict adherence to distorted biblical regulations compounded by embellished definitions of self-denial and legalism.
That’s the problem with “-ism’s,” regardless to which side of center the pendulum swings, they all ignore the “legality” of the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus that sets men free from the law of sin and death. God’s law has never been and never will be against faith, for even faith has a legal side to it or else there could be no “law of faith.” (more…)
If we truly want to understand “who is the restrainer,” then we must give attention to about what happened to Paul, Silvanus and Timothy when they were in Thessalonica. Fortunately the Holy Spirit made sure those details were recorded by Luke in Acts, where we see how the “Jews which believed not, [and] moved with envy, [and] took unto them certain lewd fellows of the baser sort, and gathered a company, and set all the city on an uproar, and assaulted the house of Jason, and sought to bring them out to the people.” This was no small commotion, for they “drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city,” and made charges against Paul, Silvanus, and Timotheus; that these whom Jason had received “that have turned the world upside down are come hither also… and these all do contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, one Jesus.”
It is important to recognize that these are not minor complaints, but rather accusations of treason against both Caesar and Rome. Hence they were accused of having “troubled the people and the rulers of the city” so that “when they heard these things and when they had taken security of Jason, and of the other, they let them go.” This means Jason and another brother was required to give money as a security, or bond, before they would let them go.
So I ask, does everyone understanding the seriousness with which Rome dealt with those who were seditious and traitors against Caesar? It was a guaranteed penalty of certain death, which is why “the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea.” But that wasn’t the only trouble Paul had encountered on us journeys, before going to Thessalonica, Paul and Silas had been in Philippi where they had been apprehended, beaten, because of accusations of going against the customs of Rome there as well. Revelation 17:9-11: And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. And the beast that was, and is not, even he is THE EIGHTH, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
Back in March I gave my book “The Eighth Beast” to several speakers at the Orlando Prophecy Conference 2015. Like so many on the prophecy circuit nowadays, none of them were there speaking concerning “the eighth” that “goeth into perdition.” For that matter I have not heard anyone speak regarding the eighth. Why not? Especially when the angel clearly tells the Apostle John “Here is the mind that has wisdom… the eighth goes into perdition.”
You would think that such a scriptural phrase would jump out at all these students-of-prophecy, many of whom are self-professing prophecy experts, and that it would have grabbed their full attention and compelled them to seek understanding and clarity of the angel’s sure prophetic words above. Instead, it is all the geopolitics, financial fiascos, and garbage in this wicked and perverse world that seem to be successfully consuming their attention. Certainly all those things are signs of the times, but they are not as scripturally as definitive of the last days as “the eighth is of the seven, and goeth into perdition,” for there have always been geopolitics, financial fiascos, and garbage in every nation since the fall of Adam.
The rest of the prophecy experts out are busy writing their series of books articulating incredibly new revelations about the unbelievable power and technology which was possessed by the ancient civilizations around the world, some things never mentioned in scripture and others only mentioned in a few paragraphs. One author has even stated that he knows the end of America cannot be at hand because as he puts it, “God has given me three more books to write.” Amazing.
However, it is only because the demand is out there that book after book are being written by these modern seers and ingested by curious people everywhere… when instead these people should be prudently studying what “is written” in scripture for their admonition, understanding and guidance for this very time to keep them from such deception. By the way, have you priced some of these people’s books? Still, it is like the fictional Left Behind series all over again, but this time the craze seems to be on steroids.
Therefore these “watchmen” and Christians everywhere would do well to remember that the whole world presently serves as the devil’s stage and by his sorcery is presently under the control of the rich and demonically empowered, but nevertheless completely deceived; role players who are currently manipulating global events only to their own demise.
Luke 4:6 – And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.
These are but foolish men who are committed to their devilish task because they have wholeheartedly embraced the lies of those fallen angels that they can and will eventually become gods… however these very angels promoting these lies were condemned and defeated at the cross of Calvary by Jesus Christ, The King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God our Savior who OPENLY TRIUMPHED over them.
Just because over thousands of years the father of lies and his fallen companions have purposely staged the world with endless myths, idols, antiquated relics, and other such props seeking the worship of men, all this is no more a verification of their projected spiritual reality or a guaranteed of their success for a New World Order than the props and facades that fill the stages of Hollywood movie sets. It’s all based upon fiction… and fiction is based upon lies and the devil is the father of it and the truth is not in him. These things throughout time have all been intentionally established in order to promote a great end time deception upon humanity to hinder men’s faith and distract them from seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.
2 Timothy 4:3 – For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
The fact that the whole world, with Christians being the main target, is being overwhelmed by an endless flood of incredible daily alerts of everything from cosmic disasters, alien invasions, to fallen angel technology being utilized in government labs around the globe is nothing more than a cleverly designed illusion. It is working successfully to embolden the wicked and distracts true believers because it all works hand in hand with false doctrines of devils that have crept in churches everywhere. Nevertheless, scripture tells us that the fallen angels’ know their power and time is limited and numbered… therefore they are redeeming the time for their warfare against God’s people.
Revelation 12:12 – …Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time… 15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
And so the sad truth is that all this propaganda and sorcery coupled with the prophetic flood of false theological and prophetic milestones or deceitful time markers, are successfully working to seduce today’s slothful, lukewarm, professing believers into continuing to procrastinate surrendering themselves wholly unto Christ. Too many believing all the lies are now constantly talking about and looking for events which will never occur instead of heeding the warning to flee the wrath to come and obeying the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In all this be assured that I am not ignoring that men are dabbling where they ought not in technology, but I understand that they are being deceitfully manipulated to an end that can only encounter failure, judgment and the wrath of God.
Perhaps now I should apologize for the title of the post, I’m sorry. But honestly, how many of you came to read this post just because its title grabbed your attention like so many others out there nowadays? Were we not warned that “If possible, even the very elect would be deceived?” Do you understand how so many are being deceived? By their lending the power of their faith to the lies of the adversary and accepting the plans of the wicked as prophetic events which must happen. If this has been you then please repent.
Sometimes I wonder if it bothers anyone else or if I am all alone in my concern over just how many popular “watchmen” are no longer just informing others about the scheming lies of the illuminati and the powers of darkness through their latest book release, but are now boldly testifying that these deceitful plans are things that are sure to come to pass. It seems they are completely unaware that their faith has been hijacked by what the adversary and his minions instead of remaining firm and steadfast in what God has said or “is written.”
It just seems the adversary and his messengers are being more diligent and successful in this late hour at making believers and converts than are God’s people. The more incredible the latest revelation or discovery, the more eager Christians seem to be willing to swallow it as truth. Is it because God’s people are failing to recognise the purpose and power of intentionally leaked disinformation? It’s nothing more than lies cleverly designed to control others action or to induce inaction. Wake up brothers and sister, God’s holy word alone is the “sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts.”
I believe the Spirit of God would have us all remember the failure of Babylon and that those who name the Name of Christ should repent and quit speaking about it as if it were a historical success, one soon to be revisited upon all humanity. It doesn’t matter how many props the adversary has set up over thousands of years or how loud and confidently his minions may boast of their plans; the Lord clearly states He will have them in derision and bring their plans to ruin before they reach fruition.
One day the righteous will go in narrowly look into the pit and marvel and in total amazement as they utter to themselves, “This was he that deceiveth the nation?” So much accomplished with nothing more than the power of lies and deception.
Wake up people! The Eight Beast is about to go into perdition!
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and the Word of their Testimony.
18 months later and this word has only become more appropriate for the Church in America…

You are the salt of the earth
But if its taste goes from the salt, how will you make it salt again?
It is then good for nothing but to be put out and crushed under foot by men.
As I sat down to write this article I am heavy in spirit. I have felt the Lord impressing upon me the severity of the judgment that about to come upon those who call themselves “Christians.” I am acutely aware of the criticism that will be directed my way by proud “born-again believers” who are claiming to be “saved by grace” that I would even dare to write this article. But I have not rushed into this article by any means; rather I have been hesitant for a while to approach the subject myself by writing knowing it places me firmly in front of the mirror whereby as we judge others, so shall we be judge. Nevertheless, my convictions to obey the Lord has set me before my keyboard praying for God’s people and humility, grace and wisdom to address this subject as the Lord would lead.
The world is as full of those professing to be Christians as the rainbow is diverse in colors and hues. Today, Christendom encompasses a contrasting spectrum of thousands of denominations from archaic orthodox churches all around the world steeped in tradition to America’s modern social lounge churches settings with couches, subdued lighting and contemporary music and music videos playing on huge screens while some cool guy or gal assures everyone of the greatness of God’s love for them “just as they are.”
Thanks to the Mother of Harlots there is no shortage of places of “worship” and even more reasons that people go to them. Some go regularly out of cultural religious obligations, while others actually go mainly for business reasons. Many people go to church solely for acceptance, though not by God but socially by others, reasoning that at church others as a minimum will have to act like they love them. The prideful go in order to feel important, so they can routinely impress others with their superior knowledge of the bible and philosophy. Then there are the patriotic church goers that go routinely simply accepting it as their religious duty and to boldly declare their faith before men though often having little true charity for others or love and faithfulness to the one they claim to serve.
Sadly, unless they repent, many of these people are destined for a rude awakening when one day they hear the Lord Jesus say unto them, “Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels” and “I never knew you. Depart from Me for you who practice lawlessness!” Such strong words as these should sober up with fear those who claim “The Law” has been done away with “through grace,” Many of people who say such don’t even have the slightest idea what they are affirming as divine truth, and are like mimicking parrots endlessly chattering confidently their position with ignorant boldness.
I highly recommend this video for you and your whole family.
This video makes it clear why Christians must personally know Who it is they believe in and understand the Mystery of Godliness
Isaiah 43:10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. John 4:42 And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world. John 10:38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him. n 1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. (Daniel 9:27)
This is the only “seven year” scriptural reference I know of that is used foundationally for the complete duration of the “seven year tribulation” with the perceived division being “in the midst of the week” when, according to popular understanding of the doctrine, the antichrist does away with the animal sacrifices that were reinstated in a rebuilt temple. There are however, many scriptural references to “seven years” –
The two periods of seven years which Jacob labored for Rachael and was given Leah instead, then the next seven years for which he indeed received Rachael.
The seven years of plenty and the seven years of famine with Joseph in Egypt.
The seven years of famine under David and Samuel.
The seven years of famine with Elisha.
The seven years of burning weapons after the war with Gog and Magog, (which if there is a seven-year tribulation immediately before the return of Christ, this war needs to take place before it then.)
Since seven years divided by two equals three and a half years, it must be acknowledged that there are also several three and a half year periods in scriptures referred to as “time, times, and half of time,” or periods of 1260 days, 1290 days, and 1335 days. With all these segments of time recorded in scripture, it is not surprising there has always existed a curiosity as to what these times meant and when would they occur. However, it is astounding the extreme lengths some have labored to prove they know the dates of these times and when they will occur, when scripture clearly states the revelation for some of them are sealed until the end.
I am personally persuaded that to assume these three and a half year periods mentioned must be referencing to either the beginning or end of the tribulation period, would be as imprudent as believing all the previously mentioned seven-year periods were the same. Clearly a simple reading of them all brings a quick dismissal of such nonsense. Therefore caution must be taken when asserting things from scriptures, for history shows it isn’t hard to earn the title of “false” teacher or prophet.
However, that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t consider such texts in light of history and prayerfully seek understanding through the Holy Spirit’s illumination. We must be students of God’s word, for perhaps the greatest reward of persistent prayer and seeking to prove all things, will be the avoidance of being carried away by the flood of false doctrines that the Holy Spirit warned would be promoted abundantly by demons through arrogant men thinking themselves to be something they are not.
True understanding is given by direct commandment of God who tries the hearts of men. It is never the product of clever men being able to calculate their way through hidden codes in scripture; Harold Camping’s date setting errors should be a sufficient warning to any aspiring date setter. But that doesn’t mean we cannot know the times in which we are living. (more…)
A message the Lord gave me to share in open assembly.
Transcript-
In the beginning of your message, the Lord put this… brought this to my heart. Being a husband and being a father, loving my wife and kids, loving my friends, loving my pastor, this passage has always struck me, motivated me to prayer. Ummm,
(I’m reading from Ezekiel 14)
The word of the LORD came again to me, saying,
Son of man, when a land sins against Me by traitorous betraying, then I will stretch out My hand on it, and will break the staff of its bread, and will send famine on it, and will cut off man and beast from it.
And though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver only their own souls by their righteousness, says the Lord Jehovah.
If I cause destroying beasts to come through the land, and they spoil it so that it is deserted, so that no one may pass through because of the beasts,
though these three men were in its midst, as I live, says the Lord Jehovah, they shall deliver neither sons nor daughters. They only shall be delivered, but the land shall be deserted.
Or if I bring a sword on that land, and say, Sword, go through the land; so that I cut off man and beast from it;
though these three men were in it, as I live, says the Lord Jehovah, they shall deliver neither sons nor daughters, but they only shall be delivered themselves.
Or if I send a plague into that land, and pour out My fury on it in blood, to cut off man and beast from it;
though Noah, Daniel, and Job were in it, as I live, says the Lord Jehovah, they shall deliver neither son nor daughter. They shall only deliver their own souls by their righteousness.
For so says the Lord Jehovah: How much more when I send My four evil judgments on Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the destroying beast, and the plague, to cut off man and beast from it.
Yet, behold, there shall be left a remnant in it that shall be brought out, sons and daughters. Behold, they shall come out to you, and you shall see their way and their doings. And you shall be comforted concerning the evil that I brought on Jerusalem, for all that I have brought on it.
A brother asks – What passage was that?
William – Ezekiel 14:12 to the end.
God will provide our needs, you said that. You talked about tribulation; you talked about God’s faithfulness and God will provide for us when the time comes… But God is providing for us. It is fooling… it is foolishness to think that we need to wait till the sword comes and that God’s going to provide. God is providing now.
People in the congregation say “Amen.”
William – Today… we are told in the book of Ephesians “that having done all to stand.” Are we doing all…to stand? Because it is coming. We… you… do all now to stand? We have… I’ve heard it, and, and, I hope I am saying it in the right spirit. You know, God’s put it on Albert’s heart to talk about preparing, and he has prepared. And there are other’s that I know that are preparing. Because God is providing now that preparation for what is coming. God sends His the prophets. God sends His word and says I will do nothing except I reveal it first through my servants the prophets.
And that is the time you receive what God is saying, and you take the time to prepare, first and foremost spiritually. And mentally to prepare you for what’s coming so that you’re not overwhelmed by sudden fear… but also in the practical. Because we have that little warning there, with the five foolish virgins that come to five wise ones and say, “Give us of yours, because our lamps are gone out.” And they turn around saying to those who had opportunity, who had time to prepare spiritually, emotionally and practically, “Uh-uh, no, not so. Go and buy from them that sell lest we don’t have for ourselves.”
God is speaking to all His people, “Prepare, prepare, prepare, spirit, soul, and body.” To stand in righteousness, to give heed because the God of gods who is righteous and just and has given everything we need now to prepare. And we need to prepare first and foremost in righteousness and repent, and to be the redeemed of the Lord and to let Christ come forth. But faith without works… in that you’re not preparing beyond that to the body, to everybody.
We are the body of Christ, and we need to discern those that are the body of Christ. And we need to let charity move forth beyond words, beyond the walls of the church into true commitment to each other, to stir us up.
This is the word of God today (pointing up towards the pastor), and my prayer is that God’s people lay hold of it, and put actions to it.
I would like to share a quote with you by John H. Leith. John is a brother whose book is titled appropriately by its contents, “Creeds of the Churches.” This quote comes from his preface an serves well as a reminder of our obligation to God to prove all things and to hold fast to that which is good.
“. . . the nature of man is an intelligent being. Just because of intelligence the Christian, of all men, has to learn to discern with agonizing clarity what is conceivable by him about God Himself. What cannot be thought through critically and expressed with reasonable clarity cannot demand the allegiance of man’s whole being. Understanding is necessary for man’s full commitment. Hence faith must be spoken and made intelligible. That is not to say faith must be enclosed within the limits of reason, but it does mean that faith must never require neither the closing of the mind nor the sacrifice of the integrity of the mind.”
This statement has possibly encouraged me more than any other man’s personal words of wisdom for the sake of Christian unity, to be willing to spend whatever time and effort required, without concern or measure, to labor in love to understand another man’s personal profession of faith. Likewise, it has compelled me to be as clear and thorough as possible when sharing my own convictions concerning the things that pertain to God, our virgin born, crucified and resurrected Lord and Savior Jesus and the precepts of pertaining to His judgments and eternal Kingdom. For if I am not willing and careful to invest the time in others, seek God’s truth with prayer and fasting, than I too will doubtless be found guilty of being a slothful servant and therefore a willful hindrance to fulfillment of Jesus’ prayer for the glory and unity of His church. (more…)
Due to a persuasion of the brevity of time for Christians in America to make ready for what is coming, I am submitting as a post my America series for a fresh reconsideration by the Body of Christ…
To discern America in scripture, it helps to distinguish certain specifics regarding the main players mentioned in Revelation chapter 13-19. While we might not be able to distinguish absolutely the identities of all of them, concerning specifically who they are, we can still establish some very definite conclusions from Biblical references made regarding their particulars. I would like to say up front that this is a topic that has always seemed to be part of the focus of my walk with Christ for almost a quarter of a century. Perhaps it has to do with what the Lord impressed upon me long ago, events I addressed in another article I wrote titled, “I doubt many will believe it, though a man declares it unto you.”
The thoughts I will share here and in the next few articles are the results of years of reflection, which with much prayer was rewarded with measurable clarity as I patiently sought to know and understand these end time events and players. At times it has unsettled me, leaving me obligated to make specific adjustments in my life and commitments. It may very well require adjustments of some of you as well, or even provoke you to anger. For sadly, sharing these convictions have more than once provoked even of my own family and friends to anger over the implications.
To start, I would like to say that my thoughts are very different from those who unquestioningly adopted the perspective of the admittedly fictional “Left Behind” series, which very popular even among non-Christians. It was astonishing, even making news headlines as the public impatiently waited for their next release, eager to ingest each of the “16 best-selling novels” by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins. Sadly, to me that fact alone seems only to affirm the truth spoken under unction of the Holy Spirit that in the latter times men would not be able to endure sound doctrine. But instead they would swallow the mere fables of men as if it were the truth of God, fables which only serve instead to promote the doctrines of devils. I still chuckle to myself when I remember a comment I once overheard someone make about Moses’ strong appearance . . . because they had seen Charlton Heston in the movie The Ten Commandments.
Before I get too deep into these things in Revelation, I want to submit a couple of thoughts for everyone’s prayerful consideration. First, it is not my conviction that there will ever be a realization of a unified one world government under one leader which many today would call the “antichrist.” I know I probably lost a lot of readers right there. But please note, I am not saying that I fail to see such a Luciferian globalist plan in the works; I just don’t see God permitting it to reach the fruition the globalists intend.
If you bear with me through this post, I will attempt to establish a few points along the way that may offer some support to my position. That does not mean my position is unshakable, it may very well be nothing more than a three-legged table, if that. However, if some of these points do in fact have any credibility, then regardless what you have always believed or been taught by whoever, scripture would obligate you to prove all things that you may hold fast to that which is in fact good and solid.
When seeking understanding of the meaning of this prophetic symbol, “the Beast,” it is impossible to find a higher authority than God’s own scriptures birthed by the Holy Ghost’s inspiration. Consequently, scripture must be allowed to serve as its own interpreter. Therefore, what is clearly meant by the term “Beast” in one prophetic vision is most likely the same predictable implication when the term is used in other prophetic passages of scripture. Furthermore, indisputable certainty is provided for us in scripture where God has sent His holy angels for the specific purpose to deliver, with absolute clarity, the interpretation of the visions given by God unto His prophets. Therefore, with the angel’s interpretation of Daniel’s four beasts there can be no room left for any speculation as to what the “beasts” of Daniel’s vision symbolized.
Daniel, desirous to “know the truth of the fourth beast which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful,” was enlightened by an angel who interpreted the vision saying, “The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms.” Thus the angel plainly reveals to Daniel that the four beasts are four civil, or municipal, kingdoms and hence the term “Beast” is used as a prophetic symbol for earthly civil kingdoms.
Re 18:1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. 2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
After John was explained the mystery of “the judgment of the great whore that sits upon many water,” now enters the last angel which is mentioned that comes down from heaven prior to the Lord’s return. Keep in mind what I showed in an earlier post that the waters represented “peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues” as Rev 17:15 states, and then consider how the American military has a foothold presence literally all over the world on “many waters” as well. Here in chapter 18 we see an angel comes from heaven with such great power and authority that the earth will be lightened with his glory in his descent. Now, whether this lighting of the earth is literal by the angel, or prophetic of something else, we can but only speculate. However, what we can be sure of is that the fall of Babylon the great into perdition has begun at this time.
The motivation of God’s judgment against America is multi-facet, but primarily because this country “has become the habitation of devils,” which implies how a deluge demonic power would ascend upon America as birds in a “cage.” The use of the word “cage” is not to imply their imprisonment, but rather the assigned territory whereby they’ll tirelessly labor to ensnare the inhabitants of the land with their corrupted and seductive deceptions. Their presence and workings are witnessed by their descriptions as unclean and hateful birds, creatures of opportunity seeking easy prey and consuming every seed of truth not buried in the heart of the hearer.
It is asserted by those who embrace the doctrine of a seven year tribulation period that its primary scriptural foundation comes from Daniel chapter 9. In this chapter the angel Gabriel tells Daniel that “At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.” Gabriel then continues by telling Daniel that “Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city.”
We must remember that Gabriel was sent forth at the beginning of Daniel’s supplications when he was confessing his own sins and the sins of Israel. Therefore the “matter . . . and the vision” which Gabriel was sent to help Daniel understand was connected to his prayer for Israel in captivity. In all, there were seven specific things Gabriel prefaces to the “understanding” of the vision with –
It was a period of time(a)regarding Daniel’s people and the holy city(b)
Seventy weeks
Jerusalem
It was to “finish the transgression”
It was to “make an end of sins”
It was to “make reconciliation for iniquity”
It was to “bring in everlasting righteousness”
It was to “seal up the vision and the prophesy”
It was to “to anoint the most Holy”
Gabriel continues by dividing up the seventy weeks into three specific time periods-
Seven weeks 7
Plus sixty two weeks 7 + 62 = 69 weeks total
Plus the last week 1 + 69 = 70 weeks total
Daniel 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
It is this seventieth week that has become accepted and known as the Seven Year Tribulation and linked to this verse in Daniel. Originally I had intended starting this post by listing the particulars of this seventy weeks revelation from the angel.
And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. (Daniel 9:27)
This is the only “seven year” scriptural reference I know of that is foundationally used for the complete duration of the “seven year tribulation” with the perceived division being “in the midst of the week” when, according to popular understanding of the doctrine, the antichrist does away with the animal sacrifices that were reinstated in a rebuilt temple. There are however, many scriptural references to “seven years” –
There were the two periods of seven years which Jacob labored for Rachael and was given Leah instead, then the next seven years for which he indeed received Rachael.
The seven years of plenty and the seven years of famine with Joseph in Egypt.
The seven years of famine under David and Samuel.
The seven years of famine with Elisha.
The seven years of burning weapons after the war with Gog and Magog, (which if there is a seven-year tribulation immediately before the return of Christ this war must needs be before it then.)
There are also several three and a half year periods in scriptures referred to as “time, times, and half of time,” or periods of 1260 days, 1290 days, and 1335 days. It is astounding the extreme that men have labored to know and date these times, when scripture clearly states in regards to some of them that these things are sealed until the end. I am personally persuaded that for anyone to assume that each of these times mentioned are referencing to the same time period would be as imprudent as to believe all the previously mentioned seven-year periods were the same, which a simple reading of them all would easily bring a ready dismissal of such nonsense. Therefore one must take caution when asserting things from scriptures because they can quickly earn the title of “false” teacher or prophet.
Nonetheless, in regards to Daniels seventieth week, one can certainly prayerfully consider the text in search of understanding seeking the Holy Spirits illumination. Perhaps reaping the greatest reward of avoiding being carried away by the flood of false doctrines that were brought forth both by demons and ignorant men thinking themselves to be something they are not.
True understanding is given by commandment of God. It is never the product of clever men being able to calculate their way through hidden codes in scripture; Harold Camping’s date setting errors should be a sufficient warning to any aspiring date setter. But that doesn’t mean we cannot know the times in which we are living. For I am persuaded that Peter understood full well the duration of time left for fulfillment before the Lord’s return.
We hear it all the time, “Isn’t it amazing that the scriptures are silent about America?” I once thought the same thing myself, but after prayerful re-examinations of scripture I must admit I don’t believe it is so anymore. Therefore, I submit the following for those open enough to reconsider whether or not America is mentioned in scriptures. As Mark Twain once said, “It is easier to fool someone than it is to convince them they have been fooled,” likewise it has been proven over and over again, that the greatest hindrance people have in accepting the truth is a prejudice or presupposition to it before they fully hear a matter.
Proverbs 18:13 He who answers a matter before he hears it, It is folly and a shame to him.
Also, please do not jump to conclusions by assuming I am anti-America. I simply believe God is going to deal with the sins of America exactly like He will with every nation. The information below is only a fraction of the information available and even that tends to be overwhelming when people first consider this concept. Please understand I will endeavor to satisfy any questions presented.
Thank you.
“Here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.”
In light of the current world events, I feel it is worth everyone’s time to not only watch the two videos, but to read John Price’s book as well.
The beast that thou sawest was, and is not;and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. Revelation 17:8
This verse tells me that the Church should not be “wondering,” but rather aware as God’s children of light. See Videos here
But if its taste goes from the salt, how will you make it salt again?
(I am presently writing an article today on a passage the Lord has laid heavily on my heart. It is not a message that I have any desire or eagerness to give; saving it may stir some out of their lukewarmness into repentance and absolute surrender to the Lord Jesus Christ. However, while praying over what God has placed upon my heart, I felt the need to repost this older one as a prelude for those who may have ears to hear…)
Sadly, what is mostly offered to the world as “The Church of Jesus Christ” is in truth nothing more than an apostate whoring religious system which, though naming the name of Jesus Christ, has succumbed to the worldly wisdom of marketing experts in order to increase their numbers. To avoid offending the attending ignorant, they eagerly embrace the latest fashionable watered down translations of Holy Writ reducing God’s word into a flimsy weapon useless against the adversary and too dull to pierce the heart of unrepentant sinners . . . many who already proudly boast in their illusion of “salvation.” Have they forgotten the warning “If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book and if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life?” Or are they just so arrogant and lacking of fear?
Though it was laid upon my heart to share from this wonderful passage of Jesus sermon on the mount, I found that the beginning of my message was led to be more a reasoning with the young believers and those still in the “valley of decision” stressing that time is near exhausted for the judgment upon America has never seem more imminent. It was as the Lord was causing my heart to go through strong pleadings and reproofs of “Why will you die, why will you not turn?”
It was the end of the message where this text finally became the focus of my message, for the time is coming where God’s children will really need to lay these words deep in their hearts that they sin not against their Lord. For he who would seek to save his life will surely lose it for eternity, but he who loses it for the name of his Lord shall find it secure in the hands pierced through for their redemption.
May the Holy Spirit speak to your heart as He did to our’s that night.
Mt 6:5 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
The above is a link to a quote from a ABC article today, Now, we civil Americans might tend to think such horrors could never, never occur here, NOT IN AMERICA! But such is nothing more than arrogance, and yet such pride is actually linked to cause of the great whore’s judgment, that entity that help corrupt all the earth with her adulterous ways –
Re 18:7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. 8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.
Two of America’s greatest exports are trash and pornography. Think about that. We used to be a leader of innovation and technology, a manufacturing giant who was self sufficient. America which was once a Christian nation from which missionaries went into all the world, a nation’s who legacy was once religious freedom . . . now has the legacy of trash and porn. Weep for her, for she has fallen.
3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
We have kicked God out of our judicial system, removing His Ten Commandments, we taken prayer out of school, the Democrats literally booed God at their convention, the military is rapidly become anti-Christian and anti-God, forcing the sniper to file of scriptures from their scopes that the manufacture had stamped into them, Old Testament scriptures as well. We celebrate infanticide and moral decadence and many now view any morality as intolerance or a hate crime. (more…)
