About two years before authoring my first book, “The Eighth Beast,” I felt the need to literally go to the seat of America and to pray for our country, and feeling that I might not be the only one being so led of the Lord, I sought out any possible prayer events that might be happening in Washington DC, and found that there was indeed an organized prayer event happening in a couple of weeks. But even more amazing, without any action on my own part, the Lord amazingly worked things out so as to slip me into the My People Pray 2012 event as the final speaker.
It was truly a God thing, arranged without my knowledge, simply needing my approval afterwards. For as the time drew closer, some brothers in the Lord I had mentioned this to wanted to go as well, and the day before we leave one of them contacted the organizers to see if he could volunteer to assist in anyway. The moderator called him back when she heard we were coming from Florida, and during the conversation mentioned that 15 of the 16 slots for people to give topical prayer were filled, but the final spot concerning the coming of the Kingdom had not. My brother then suggested that they consider me.
Before leaving for Washington DC, as I was taking care of last-minute business, my friend calls me to tell me that everything’s taking care of and that I was going to be closing speaker and began to explain to me what took place. Immediately I stated that I wasn’t sure about it and that I simply felt a need to go and pray for the America, that I wasn’t prepared for such. But after a few moments of prayer, I felt as if the Lord admonished me, “Did not I put this on your heart? Do not I direct your steps?” So, in obedience to the Lord, I went and spoke.

Bill, I knew you had it in your heart to go to this event. God is so awesome to have put this in place. He truly raises those up who have a heart for Him to further His kingdom. May He continue to bless you and our brother Albert in your walks with Him! Hallelujah! To God be the glory!

Thanks Cindy, We had people praying for us,Pastor Hart prayed for me the night before we left and it was a real blessing. I knew the Lord sent be to cry out to the whole city, beyond the immediate area to the all the powers that be seated there and those of the air…
You have no idea the amount of confusion that broke out behind me on the set to try and hinder what God had given me to do…but I knew this was arranged by God for me to so do.

Thanks for the encouraging words Sarah, as I told Cindy, as soon as I started talking confusion broke out all behind me, panic for some reason struck some of the organizers who, though acknowledging that what I was saying was true, it was permitted as a prayer meeting . . . which was why the music began playing while I was still talking. Regardless, I was going to be jealous for the Lord’s name and cry out all He had given me to say. It was wonderful to see many of the visitors who had been ignoring the whole event walking around the Washington Monument stop and turn when I cried out to them that their souls were the Lord’s and that one day they would bend their knees to Him. Several approached me afterwards greatly moved and had opportunity to pray for some. Bless the Lord!
